simplesurance
Columbia, South Carolina
Located in an up and coming area of Southeast Columbia, this existing pre-engineered metal building had long stood vacant. The new tenant, simplesurance sought to create a “Apple Store meets Coffee House” aesthetic for a new brand of retail insurance companies. Plans for the renovation included demolishing all non-structural elements of the building and using the frame not only for structural support and increased ceiling height, but as a subtle aesthetic element as well. A new simple facade includes EIFS, Aluminum Storefront, steel, and wood accents. At night, pops of vibrant colors are visible through careful interior finish material and lighting selections. While blending into the newly revitalized Cross Hill Market development, the completed project is one that also stands on it’s on.
