Nickelodeon Theater
Columbia, South Carolina
The renovation of the upper floor of a historic theater completed the renovations for the non-profit film-house, Nickelodeon Theater. Since moving to Main Street several years ago, this phase of renovations included completion of an additional theatre, elevator installation, and other renovations to the facade, concession, office, and back-of house areas.
Rich color palates were used to create the owner’s wish of a historic “grand” theater experience, while also incorporating the modern elements of comfort and technology. The finished renovations restore key elements of the historic space, with new additions to provide a safe and accessible experience.
