Benedict College Freshmen Institute

Columbia, South Carolina

As part of an enhanced Freshman experience, Benedict College was interested in the feasibility of converting a former apartment building, now owned by the college, into a Freshmen Institute. Program elements include classroom and computer lab space, advisor offices, and general student support space. The project was deemed feasible from square footage, construction, code and zoning perspectives, but the changing needs of the school deemed the property may be best suited for other uses.
