CETi-Center for Entrepreneurial and Technological Innovation at The University of South Carolina

Columbia, South Carolina

The Midlands Center for Entrepreneurial and Technological Innovation (CETi), a collaboration between the USC/Columbia Technology Incubator and USC Innovista, was created as a one-stop-shop for young entrepreneurs in the USC and Columbia communities. Housed within a 45,000 square foot complex on Laurel Street in downtown Columbia, the center was looking to upfit approximately 4,500 square feet of unused space into exciting collaborative space. Using cost efficient materials and project phasing, the renovation was completed within budget and while the rest of the building remained occupied. The design incorporates creative use of previously unused existing spaces, while capturing unique opportunities for providing collaboration in multiple forms to many different types of users.
