Broadacres Baptist Church-Corley Building

Cayce, South Carolina

The congregation chose to move forward with the first phase of the masterplan, the renovation of their existing education building which dated back to the 1960’s. After extensive congregation interviews and conceptual planning, the interior was almost completely demolished and renovated. Most important to the congregation was the creation of exciting spaces for the younger church population. There was also a need for updated restrooms to meet current accessibility codes as a large portion of the congregation was aging. Within tight existing building constraints, the new layout resulted in a huge increase in not only the usability of the spaces, but also the growth of the membership and program offerings.
